On this 8 days safari the great migration herds of wildebeests and zebras are situated at lake ndutu which is found in the Ngorongoro area ,and part of Serengeti eco-system and our main target is from Dec to April .from January it is the best time to witness the calving as they spread out across the short -grass plains and predators are just around waiting for their opportunities to make a hunt .you will experience both ,tarangire,south Serengeti,Ngorongoro,lake manyara.

Day 1: On arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport or Arusha Airport. Transfer to lodge/Hotel for dinner and overnight (40 km, 30 minutes).

Day 2: Tarangire National Park
After having breakfast in your hotel, you will be picked up by your driver guide and depart for Tarangire National Park. Tarangire is one of the largest parks in Tanzania and is located in the Manyara region. It is characterized by the large herds of elephants and tree climbing lions that call it home, as well as the fascinating baobab trees that are renowned for their mythical powers by some of the local cultures. The Tarangire River flows through the park year round and is the only source of water for the animals during the dry season.

Day 3: Tarangire – Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast you will travel from the Tarangire Area to the Lake Manyara National Park.
The park is known for its over 400 bird species, primate-filled forests and grassy plains. A large area of the park is covered by the alkaline Lake Manyara, the seasonal breeding grounds for large colonies of flamingos and many more waterfowls. The park is also home to giraffes, hippos, wildebeests, impalas and groups of noisy monkeys and baboons. After an extensive game drive you will travel to the Lodge,

Day 4: Serengeti National Park (Ndutu Area)
After breakfast, we will set off for Ndutu area situated in the Ngorongoro conservation area, which is part of the southern Serengeti eco-system. Lake Ndutu like most other rift lakes is alkaline however the water is still drinkable and consumed by a wide array of local wildlife.

We will spend the afternoon with a game drive in the Ndutu area. The majority of the wildebeest migration can normally be found on the short-grass plains from December to April. The area is usually heavily populated with elephant, birds and resident game.

Day 5 :Serengeti National Park (Ndutu Area) – Serengeti National Park (Seronera)
After breakfast, you will enjoy a full day game drive in the Ndutu area exploring a great range of various habitats such as swamps, woodland, soda lakes and the world famous Serengeti short grass plains. You will witness herds of wildebeest and zebras especially during a short time-frame from around February and lasting for about 3 weeks where majority of the wildebeest calve.

The sea of grass provides little cover and the young makes an easy prey for a variety of predators. Wildebeest calves can run minutes after they were born and within 3 days, they are normally strong enough to keep up with the herd. In the afternoon, we will set off for Serengeti National Park.

Day 6: Serengeti National Park (Seronera)
After breakfast, we will proceed for a full day of game drives in the wilderness tracking the Great migration trails. Our experienced driver tour guide will provide you with interesting facts about this highly renowned event, which made Tanzania the top safari destination in Africa.Serengeti, a UNESCO world heritage site is home to around 200,000 zebras, and 300,000 Thomson’s gazelle joining the wildebeest’s trek for fresh grazing. Listen to the exotic sounds of over 6 million hooves pounding the open plains of Serengeti just like how you imagined African wild life to be.

Day 7: Ngorongoro crater
After breakfast we will drive to the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s safari highlights. The name Ngorongoro is from a Maasai word meaning ‘Gift of Life’. You will begin with taking in the magnificent views from the crater rim before descending into the crater itself. You will have the opportunity to see elephants, lions, buffalo, zebra and many other species of animals and birds. We will enjoy a picnic lunch overlooking the hippo pool.
The Ngorongoro Crater is beautiful at any time of year and teaming with wildlife. You may experience clear views of the crater bowl or mists rolling down into the base – either way a memorable experience.

Day 8 Mto Wa Mbu – Arusha
After breakfast, we will drive mto wa mbu for a morning cultural tour and walking safari. We will have a sumptuous local lunch as we take in the stunning views hovering us. An optional mountain biking activity can be arranged at an added cost.

In the afternoon, we will head back to Arusha or to the airport for your flight back home.
